4/26/05- I had fun at the LBJ library

First off... our next gig is this Saturday at the Red Eyed Fly. When we last played there it was a great show, so I have my hopes hight for this one, too. We may be recording the show for posterity, so the more clapping and whistling people we can get to come out, the better. Going back to listen to it in forty years, getting old and senile, we'll actually believe that everybody loved us. See you at the show? On with the update...

The last time I checked, going to a presidential library wasn't supposed to be the highlight of your week. But I had family in town from New England and we were looking for vaguely touristy things to do. So, we checked out the LBJ presidential library. The regular exhibits on the president and his biography were interesting, but upstairs they had a special exhibit: "Signs of the Times: Life in the Swingin' Sixties"

Now, I know the "swingin' Sixties" is cringeworthy, but they'd done such a great job with it that it was lots of fun. The first room was devoted to the British Invasion and the walls were covered in old photos of bands like the Animals, the Dave Clark Five, the Zombies, the Small Faces, and even, yes, the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. It was here that my stepmother Susan confessed that in the early Sixties she had a major crush on Peter Noone from Herman's Hermits. There were go-go dancers, Twiggy, a recreation of a Sixties living room (straight out of one of Austin's many vintage shops) and also one of a "garage band" in a faux-garage with manikins playing the part of teenage boys bashing out 3 chords on some pretty sweet looking and very real vintage equipment. There was Motown, Haight-Ashbury and psychedelia, Pop Art, and these cool little kiosks where you could watch old 60s TV shows like The Man from UNCLE, Mr. Ed, or Gilligan's Island. All in all, pretty damn fun if you ask me.

Oh, and if you missed the Ghostland Observatory CD-release party... I'm sorry for you. With the Black Angels opening, the Ritz Upstairs packed with beautiful people, and a copy of the CD, included in the price for the door, in a sleeve handmade and numbered by the boys from Indierect... well it was a night to remember! And that's before I mention the kick-ass set that Ghostland threw down or the way in which Aaron from Ghostland has become the best front-man, and I've been told, the sexiest, in Austin. Damn.

4/8/05- Farah Faucet and The Fury of Thor

I just checked our stats and found that of the top nine search strings for our site, "a fir ju well," "fighting brothers mccarthy," "ghostland observatory," and "farah faucet" all rank above "the unbearables" in terms of frequency. It's nice to be the person that people run into when they're looking for somebody else.

It's been a good week in Unbearables-land. First off, check out this article on Austinist.com. We played a kick-ass show, if I do say so myself, last Friday at Red Eyed Fly. Our favorite online scribe and chronicler (note the lack of capitalization) of coolness in Austin, Ben Brown, was there and gave us a great write up. I quite like how it is described that Tim "hits those drums with the fury of Thor." If only we all could be compared to Norse gods... I can see it now, "Ian LeClair, his wit like the cunning of Loki..." Currently, or at least until more articles are posted, we still make the front page, putting us in the company of such illustrious names as the Decemberists, Pong, and.... the Bill Jeram Band. Right. Thanks to everyone who came out to last week's show, especially to Sam, the Diving Bell, and the Shim Shams for playing. If you haven't yet, check out the Shim Shams sometime soon for a dose of retro-pop, ascot and blazer, 60's London style.

Anyways, speaking of the Decemberists... VERY awesome show last week at Emo's. They're supporting the release of their new album, Picaresque, while openers, and local boys, Okkervil River are doing the same for their new one, Black Sheep Boy. I can personally attest that both albums are top-notch. Colin Meloy and Will Sheff are both among some of the most talented songwriters working today, especially when it comes to turning a dense, obtuse phrase into pop-folk goodness. I'd seen Okkervil River before and thought that they'd put on better shows, or at least more enjoyable ones in smaller, less-packed rooms. Yeah, sold-out Emo's is not a very pleasant or relaxing place to see music. That's just too many cool people in one place. Never having seen the Decemberists before, I was really impressed by their musicianship and how they managed to engage the crowd in such and off-hand low key manner. But it was the songs that really shone. My Australian friend Sam kept saying "He's got a phenomenal voice!" while lovely Angie swayed back and forth, got drunk, and seemed to be able to mouth the words to every song. Unfortunately, being entranced by the outside stage shows meant missing most of what I hear were really great sets inside that night from the Baptist Generals and the Glass Family. Damn you, Austin! Can't you just have one good thing per night?! Also, ended up missing my friend Jeff's birthday... life is cruel sometimes.

Also, last week Thursday saw a packed-in crowd at the Velvet Spade taking in tunes from Ghostland Observatory and the Black Angels. I've raved here before about Ghostland. These guys are sexy and exciting and people are catching on. Don't wait until they're selling out the Parish to show up. Mark your calendars for their CD release coming up April 23rd at the Ritz Upstairs. I don't know if I've sung the praises of the Black Angels here before or not, but if not, it is high time. Having seen them play quite a few times now, I must admit this last Thursday was not a stellar example of what they're capable of. Plagued by sound problems, the venue just didn't seem quite right for them either. The Black Angels are in many ways a reincarnation of the original Velvet Underground mixed in with some Joy Division, Cure, and definitely a strong bit of the Doors. At first blush they're a real throwback, but listening to them more and more I find that they play those songs with such integrity and commitment that they really seem to be creating something brand-new all over again. Definitely check out the Black Angels as well, which should be easy as they're playing the Ghostland Observatory CD release that you're already going to, right?

On the business front, we have arranged with Indierect Musician's Incubator to book and promote our summer tour, so be looking for more info on that in the future!

3/28/05- SXSW is over!

Now that I've finally completed my SXSW-detox of giving up beer and tacos for an entire week, I think it's high time to publish a "week-in-review" of sorts. My highlights from the festival:

1) Playing with the High Strung & The Capitol Years on Tuesday night.

Damn, the High Strung are an awesome band. And they wear matching suits. What more could you ask for?
Seeing The Capitol Years also rocked, as did watching Brian and Daniel from Indierect sit in the corner, bleary-eyed and stressed out, trying to cope with four days of sleeplessness. Awesome!
2) Seeing the Muthafuckin' Dears at the SpinArt showcase at Exodus. They blew my mind. You should see them, so they can blow yours as well.
3) Bumping into the Glass Family at Emo's. What nice guys.
4) Going to the party at Austinist (www.austinist.com) Ben Brown's house. It was also thrown by somebody from Spin, and there was this weird dynamic of Austin people (like Neal Pollack, Matt from Bouldin Creek, and our favorite Australians from the Handsome Charlies) not really mingling with rock-star types (like James Iha). I got drunk on Red Stripe, chatted with the guys from Maximo Park--very nice people, all--and schmoozed like it was my job. Well, mostly I stumbled around and talked to people I already knew. But that's cool, too.
5) Playing at Trophy's outside. I think that was one of our best sets ever, and we got a damn good response. We even signed our first autograph for a five-year-old kid who said we were his favorite band. The thunderstorm that followed our set and rained out the party we were supposed to play afterward wasn't so sweet, but at least I got to hang out a little bit more with the High Strung.

3/17/05- SXSW update

It's only Thursday, and it's been a long week already... not really, because it's all been really great and gone really fast. Tuesday night we were at Exodus down on Sixth St. Now, under normal circumstances, I don't think any of us would be found dead in that club, but... this is South By week and time for everything to get turned on its head... Through the Looking Glass, or some shit like that... anyways, it was weird to be in a brand new place right where you live, but ended up being really great. We started off the night and then got to enjoy really strong sets from the High Strung and the Capitol Years. The Handsome Charlies played sans bass player, but with horns. Horns are cool. Then I had to go home and missed the rest, but heard it was really good... Tuesday night, man!

Last night was back on more familiar territory at Trophy's. Saw some new faces, and some familiar ones. That was nice. And things keep going... check out the schedule for today and Saturday performances, around some really great bands.... I'm particularly looking forward to the Black Angels tonight, and then the High Strung again on Saturday, and the Carlsonics who toured with the strung last year, and whose album Marshall and I have been listening to since... great live show, so don't miss them.

3/11/05 - Paul Newman Told Me.

So I’m sitting at Quack’s with Harry this afternoon discussing my plans for forming an indie rock porn music band when this guy comes up to us. Pointing to two girls who had just walked by, he says:
“Man, that’s all you need, a girl with nice birthing hips who’ll squeeze out plenty of healthy babies. And then, man, that’s all you need, is a girl with long legs who knows tantric yoga. A girl with long legs who knows tantric yoga might not give you lots of babies, but it’ll be so much fun makin’ ‘em that it’s worth the try.”

He goes on: “You know, there are five things women are good for.” He holds up his hand, counting them off on each finger. “Cooking, cleaning, making babies, and, uh...” He stumbles around for a little bit while he tries to think of the other two. “Uh, the other two things that women are good for. Oh yeah,” he says, “cooking and cleaning. You know, they musta been good for something, else why would God of made ‘em? They had to be good for something.” I think that was a joke.

He continues, not waiting for an answer from either me or Harrison. “Wait, wait, I got another one. There was this guy who takes a job as a, uh, a plumber’s apprentice, you know, like he helps plumbers out and stuff. And they put him to goin’ in houses and going to, uh, you know, faucets that are stuffed up, he goes in and unclogs ‘em. So he keeps doin’ this until he gets to, uh, Farah. Farah Fawcett. And he unclogs Farah’s Fawcett. You know? Unstuffs Farah’s faucet?”
He laughs uproariously.
“And it’s true, I know it’s true! Paul Newman told me. Him and, uh, him and Robert Redford, they told me. And they, you know, they died laughing.” He laughs loudly and then walks to the bench behind me, where he continues talking.
At this point it’s clear that no change of subject would do. Harrison and I sat across from one another, not really knowing what to say. How do you resume any kind of normal conversation after that?

“So, um, what do you want to do later?”
“Give me a woman with big tits,” the guy shouts behind us. “That’s
all I need!”
“Um..."
“Big tits and long legs! And tantric yoga, you know, they’re all
kundalini over there...”
“Listen, let’s get out of here.”
“Deal.”

2/27/05- An Ode to Trophy's

So after waking up with a hangover from our totally awesome show at Trophy's last night, I realized that I would have to get in my car and go pick up my guitar and amplifier.  I'd left them both on the stage when I stumbled out of the bar at 2:45 AM, mumbling something to Matt about not feeling like taking them home just then.  When I woke up, my hair was still sticky from the gin Sam had poured on my head after his set.  I had a splitting headache and spent the first two hours after waking up curled up on my couch begging God not to make me puke.
That's how awesome last night was.
Anyways, when I got to the bar at around 1:00 I found Dave, the owner, there all by himself.  He offered me a burger, on the house, and told me stories about how he ran construction companies in the midwest by threatening union thugs with his glock.  We talked for an hour about the music business in Austin, breaking Unions, and voting out the cocksuckers who promote the smoking ban.  He's really passionate about the last one.  Eventually, I finished my burger and loaded up my stuff.
You see, this is one of the many reasons why I love this place.  There's no pretension, no scenester snootiness--just nice people who run a dive bar.  Austin is sorely lacking in the low-key dive bar department, a fact which makes Trophy's existence so much more necessary.  O Trophy's, ye of the cheap beer and BYOB, ye of the smoky atmosphere and shitty sound system, may you never leave us!

-Marshall

1/14/05- A new year, filling up already...

It's been a long time since I was last in to update. Check out the calendar page at the upcoming shows link above. There's going to be a lot going on in the next few weeks, starting with the Tsunami Benefit that Marshall has organized for next Saturday, the 22nd. It's at Red's Scoot Inn, in East Austin. Go check out the Venues section of the Links page for the map, address.

11/18/04- Til Friday!

OK, first off, tomorrow night we'll be back at Trophy's with the Handsome Charlies. We'll be on last, after midnight, but make sure you get there early enough to hear the rest of the bands. It's semi-officially our CD release party, though a more party-like event may be coming up in January, but this one should be lots of fun. We'll have our CD for sale as well as our new t-shirts.

Also, got a chance to go see the Awesome Cool Dudes last Tuesday at Room 710. They put on a really, well, awesome show. Great energy, lots of fun, good sense of humor, catchy songs. And there was a great crowd out, especially for a Tuesday. We'll be playing with them the first Friday in December, so mark the calendar.

AND, you can now purchase the Unbearables debut CD online at CD Baby by clicking here. Oh, and check out the photos from the Continental show last week.

11/14/04- So much in a week...

Well, yeah, lot's going on since my last update. First off, shows this past weekend at the Continental Club and Red Eyed Fly both went really well. Everyone who came out and cheered us on at the Continental on Thursday made that night really special. You all were so supportive and upbeat, dancing and rocking out. It was everything we'd hoped for and more. Kudos to the Fighting Brothers McCarthy and to the Vacation Gold (formerly Spacetruck), both of whom put on rockin sets filled with good hooks. More blues-oriented rockers One Mississippi (formerly Special Teams... do I see a pattern here) played right after us, and seemed to get to have their band name used as part of on-stage announcement jokes. Don't take it seriously guys. Overall, a night to be remembered. I hear there are some pictures somewhere out there?

And of course, Friday night was the Red Eyed Fly. Hats off right away to the Handsome Charlies, who played an unbelievably strong set. People dancing all up front, singing along, and it was all over too soon. We all love you guys, can't wait till Friday when we get to play together again. Big surprise for me of the night was Ghostland Observatory. Two guys, drums, guitar, sequencers and various electronics and a massive, strong, original and daring sound. One the best new Austin bands I've run across in a long time. With elements of punk, electro-experimental and dance rock just made for a really exciting time. Keep an eye on these guys. They'll be playing again at another night put together by the boys at Indierect on November 28th. Mark the date. I'm not going to miss it.

Next up is our (un)official CD release party this Friday at Trophy's. It'll be nice to be back there with the Handsome Charlies again. Matt from Trophy's was telling me who else was going to be there on Friday, but I didn't write it down and well... I hear maybe the Golden Apples and a band from out of town... It's sounding to be a great night. Would it be possible to have those two weeks in a row? We can just try.

On a down note, we will not be appearing on Eklektikos on KUT this Thursday. Communication problems, etc. We'll keep you posted on when that might be happening in the future.

So, see you on Friday!

- Ian

11/7/04- Heartbreak ensues...

Unfortunately, you will not be able to see the Unbearables play tonight. Yes, I know, it's crushing. We were planning on it, looking forward to it, but then Marshall found out he had to leave town and wouldn't be flying back in time to make the show. The whole thing at Momo's tonight is being done by this group/company called Indierect. It looks like our friends the Handsome Charlies are going to be working with them. They're worth checking out and the show tonight should still be great, even though there won't be that special Unbearables kick going on.

Though bone-tired from the long week, I checked out the Deathray Davies opening for Sound Team at the Parish last night. I was pleasantly surprised. Never having seen the Davies before but having been told, "Oh, you'd like them!" I went in with the usual cynical I'm-not-going-to-like-them-just-because-someone-tells-me-I-should type attitude. But, I really did like them. Good strong licks and riffs, catchy and high energy. There was this one guy who had a tambourine, and maracas, and xylophone, AND a theremin. I want a theremin. Sound Team, of course, was great. They seem to get tighter and groovier everytime I see them. Although, I noticed an interesting trend in the increasing diversity of the audiences they draw out as they get more popular and benefit from more widespread exposure. Also checking out the show was Spoon frontman Britt Daniel. We both stood out front in the little smoker's sidewalk area. No, he didn't tell me when the next Spoon album will be out.

Of course, everything this week has been overshadowed by politics. I don't know if I really have anything useful to say at this point, so I'm not going to say anything yet. I think of everything I've read, I was the most positively effected by this Ladee Leroy diary entry.

Don't forget about Thursday night at the Continental Club! See the poster here.

11/1/04- Don't Forget to Vote!

Ok, so tomorrow is it. The big day. And no, I'm not talking about my birthday. Tomorrow is the day we get to pick the direction this country is going to be heading for the next four years. Personally, I think we need a change. Whether you agree with me or not, make your voice heard. Early voting is over, so find out what your polling place is, for Travis county here, or otherwise by going here, and then go vote! I early voted, so on Tuesday night I'll be rocking out to Interpol and the Secret Machines and biting my nails in between songs.

And we've gotten more information on fellow bands for gigs at Momo's next Sunday, and at the Continental on Thursday 11/11. At Momo's we'll be with Purchase New York, the Lil Blokes, and Household Names. All three sound really distinct and exciting. It should be a fun, diverse line-up. Go check out their website for samples to see what I mean.

Then at the Continental, we'll be opening for Special Teams, the Vacation Gold (formerly Spacetruck), and the Fighting Brothers McCarthy.

AND, the gig at the Red Eyed Fly with the Handsome Charlies is actually on Friday, 11/12/04. The band that opened for the Charlies there a few weeks ago, Almost Failing, will be playing first at 9, then us, then Ghostland Observatory, and the Charlies finishing out the night. So if you can't make it to the Continental on the 11th, be at Red Eyed Fly on the 12th.

10/31/04- Looking forward...

A big thank you to everyone who was out on Friday night at Trophy's. It was a fun night, though we missed good friends who were otherwise occupied. We weren't quite ready to do the new Charity song, but keep an eye out for it, it will be coming up soon during one of our next couple of gigs. First of which, Sunday, Nov. 7th will be at Momo's. Even more exciting, the following Thursday, Nov. 11th, will see the Unbearables at the legendary Continental Club. We'll be going on pretty early, like 9:30, but this should be a damn fine night. We're pumped about it and ready to go! In other words, you (and I do mean you exactly, whoever you are that's reading this, should be there!

10/27/04, 11pm - RED SOX are WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Schilling, Pedro, Varitek, Manny, Johnny Damon, Cabrera, Trot Nixon, Derek Lowe, Arroyo, Mueller, Ortiz, Bellhorn... and all the rest... THANK YOU!!!!!

10/27/04- Exciting website updates

OK, two cool new things! I've been able to figure out a little bit about using scripts on the Web. You can now join our Mailing List by filling out a form right here online. And we now have a Guestbook for website visitors to sign.

Of course, tonight is game four of the World Series. After their 4-1 win over St. Louis yesterday, this is a deciding game for the Red Sox. A win tonight means a pennant. A loss keeps St. Louis alive. At the moment, things aren't looking bad as we are, as I write this, in the top of the second inning up by 1 to nothing based on a lead-off home run in the first by Johnny Damon.

Also, went and voted today. Handed the nice clerks at the Highland Mall my driver's license, got a little slip of paper giving me my access code to put into the machine to vote and was done five minutes after getting there. Quick, easy, nothing to it. If you're registered to vote in Travis County, early voting is ongoing until Friday, 10/29. Regular polling would be at your precinct's polling place on Tuesday, Nov. 2. Don't forget to VOTE! If you need to know where, go here.

10/26/04- Halloween Pennant Fever

Don't miss it! Trophy's Halloween party will be on this Friday. We should be playing towards the middle, 11ish. It will be the third time in past couple of weeks that we've been able to take advantage of the new Trophy's sound system and each time things seem to get better! At the show, be on the lookout for our brand-new T-Shirts and Stickers, featuring the new Unbearables album release theme.

Speaking of exciting upcoming events, you'll be able to hear the Unbearables live on the radio soon. Mark your calendars for Thursday, Nov. 18. We'll be playing live on Ekletikos with John Aielli, during the 12 noon live spot, on KUT, 90.5 FM.

AND, baseball excitement rolls on. Up by two in the World Series, the Red Sox are playing the Cardinals tonight in St. Louis. They're up by two in the top of the 5th. A win tonight means the Sox are 1 game away from winning the Series for the first time since 1918, and finally breaking the frickin' Bambino's curse.

AND, if that's not all, as of November 2nd we will have elected a president. At this point I would like to say a NEW one. But regardless of who you vote for, you must vote. Especially if you're a Democrat here in Texas. Yes, I know, Bush will most likely handily get all our electoral college votes, BUT if you don't vote it just reinforces the idea that either there are no liberals in Texas or that we all don't care. Don't let that happen! Do your part to skew the popular vote so that the nation can see what the real picture is! If you're here in Austin, early voting is ongoing, and you can get a list of polling places here.

So, to recap, Vote for President, Cheer on the Red Sox, Listen to KUT, and Come see the Unbearables on Friday!

Peace! - ian

10/20/04- Party Goodness and more Sox

So, to continue all the talk about the Red Sox. Somehow they managed to pull out three straight wins to tie the ALCS at 3 games a piece and are now up 8 to 1 over the Yankees in the top of the 4th of game 7. Can it truly be possible that they're going to pull this out?

Anyways, we played Monday for Sam's birthday party. A good time was had by all. Nice to see some folks even from the last Saturday out, and great to get a chance to dance to great Charlies rock again. Also, the new sound at Trophy's is a godsend. We'll be back there again on the 29th for the Trophy's Halloween party. And on another note, the Unbearables are on MySpace. Check us out, become our friends!

10/17/04- Post-Show Sunday

It was a really fun show last night. Thanks to all those that came out: LGT folks, Brian, Matt and Amanda, the Charlies, Ladee Leroy, John and whoever else I'm forgetting. The Hat Madder played first and rocked the house. They've got a great guitar-heavy melodic sound. Reminded me of some of some great college radio hard-rocker that I haven't heard yet. Keep an eye on these guys. I think we may be playing with them again and I'll be looking forward to it.

Unfortunately, the Red Sox lost game 3 last night. It was not pretty. More hopes and dreams of New Englanders dashed.

10/16/04- Tonight at Trophy's

11 pm, Trophy's Bar and Grill, South Congress in Austin. Be there! No really, we're really looking forward to this gig since it's been a few weeks since we last played and the last couple of gigs were kind of sparsely attended. Time to turn that around! WARNING! Tonight is game 3 of the Red Sox vs. Yankees American League Championship series. The Yankees lead the series two games to none. If the Sox don't win tonight you may see a very distraught drummer.

Check out recent website updates that include the addition of a couple of photos, some posters from past gigs, and updates to the links page. Pictures and media can all be found under the "Listen" link at left.

So, went to Red Eyed Fly on Thursday night to support the Handsome Charlies. They played incredibly well, with a couple of new songs I hadn't heard before. I really liked the one that Sam introduced by talking about how much he wanted to be "darker." The song had this very Anglo-post-punk rythmic thing going on. Very cool. Before the Charlies were this band called Almost Failing. I heard a lot of Blink-182, Green Day, and the like. I felt like I should be 14 and pretending I knew how to skateboard. In a good way.

Also, if anyone has the chance, check out the lovely Ladee Leroy. She's supportive in all the right places and also is the damn sexy voice of the stage directions in the staged reading of a play called "Ajax (por nobody)" being done by Salvage Vanguard Theater at the Church of the Friendly Ghost, through Nov. 6 I believe. This is the stuff of snuff films and avant-garde comedy.

- Ian

10/11/04- Rock out Sunday night!

Took in a set by Things that Go Pop last night. They were at Beerland with Halley. I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but I think my favorite part was the cover of "Justify My Love." We'll be playing with them for the Trophy's Halloween party on 10/29 and then again with the Awesome Cool Dudes on 12/3, also at Trophy's. Unfortunately, only caught the tail-end of Halley's set (I seem to always do this with bands that I really want to see) so I'm going to need to be keeping an eye out for them to be playing again.

Before going over to Beerland checked out I Love you But I've Chosen Darkness. Apparently this was an early show, which the Chronicle didn't seem to mention, or I just missed, so I only got to see a couple of songs by I Love You... but they were really great and I wished I'd been there earlier. They were at Emo's opening for Blonde Redhead who I thought rocked surprisingly hard and seemed to be more in touch with the pop hook and rush than I would have thought based on album listening.

- Ian

10/10/04- Carnage on the Drag

So Harrison and I were putting up our totally rocking posters today down on the drag for the Trophy's gig next saturday. We were strolling along, minding our own business, and happened to walk by the old Tower records where a bunch of Drag Rats were hanging out. This one guy was standing a little further out on the sidewalk and as Harrison and I walked past he just up and punched Harrison in the face. Yes, that's right. This random guy just, for seemingly no reason whatsoever, hit Harrison with a right hook to the eye. This was followed up with (as I remember it), "That's what you get for fuckin' with the Zapatistas! Yuppie fuck!"

Now how exactly political oppression in Mexico has anything to do with Harrison and I walking down Guadalupe St. in Austin, Texas on a beautiful Sunday afternoon is beyond me. Logic was not the point here. The point seems to have been to make an insanely nice person like Harrison crumple up in shock and exclaim "You hit me!" in utter surprise. That's it. No rational motive, like say this guy caught Harrison feeling up his girlfriend, or running over puppies in his SUV, or exploiting migrant farm workers to increase profit margins. No logic, just senseless violence. America, where have you gone?

Anyway, if you are ever near Guadalupe and 24th and see a hispanic male with closely shaved head, chinstrap style beard, and dirty wife-beater looking aggressive, I suggest to steer very clear.

- Ian

10/8/04- Sweet Love and Charity, and Baseball

Practice tonight was delayed due to extra innings. Yes the Boston Red Sox, whom both Tim and I grew up practically revering, won the third game in a row in the tenth inning to sweep the series 3-0 over the Anaheim Angels. They'll be in NY next week to start American League championship games against the Yankees. Go Sox!

Despite practice starting later than expected and Tim being impaired by the tequila shots he took during the game, we were able to get quite a bit done, including starting on a new song. This time it's about Charity, my awesome roomate. It's not quite finished, so it may be a few weeks before this one shows up at a gig, but it's going to be fun and moving in a somewhat new/different direction.

10/7/04- CD is Here! Inaugural update

Our very first album has come back from the factory. "Get Hit" is here! To celebrate, Marshall's having a party on Saturday. Also, we are going to be attempting to keep this website up to date, so start keeping an eye out for more updates and news to come!
