So, just for those of you who read this blog, here’s a special treat: a brand-spankin new track from Just One Bite for you to download. We opened with this one at the fundraiser, and when the horns kicked in you could see the fireworks in people’s eyes. I think this might be my personal favorite off the album, so without further ado:

So, guys, just so you know, Zombies, Unite! is currently ranked #61 on Garage Band in the Indie Rock genre. That would put it significantly higher in the rankings than “The Shape” ever got–whee! Log on to the site, listen to the song, give it a rating, and see if doesn’t climb higher…

So, I’ve been having lots of people ask me, “Ian, where can we hear more of that crazy zombie rock sound?” Since the companion album to Bitten!, the Unbearables’ Just One Bite, is now finished being mixed and mastered, I’m going to make a series of posts letting you in on where you can listen to tracks from the album.

Here you can find the opening song to the show, “Sacrifice for Love,” and the second-act opener, “Zombies, Unite!” And, you can rate them and tag them so the site has more info about them. Show us the love, all you zombie people!
So, Friday night marked the official debut of the Zombie Rock Orchestra. From all reports, it was an epic mind-blowing performance. Did you miss it? Don’t do it again! Stay tuned for more times you can come check out the band.

And, I guess I’m straying ever farther from the zombie theme of this blog, is the Original Alamo’s entrants for their recent Blank on a Blank contest. As absolutely EVERYONE who’s ANYONE knows, this contest was inspired by Snakes on a Plane. Entrants received a randomly generated animal and a randomly generated vehicle. Definitely check out Frogs on a Helicopter, featuring our very own Mormon / Zombie Becky.
And, last but not least, our fundraiser this Friday made it to the Ist List on the Austinist. That’s right. We’re recommended, bitches.
Hey, so the band played out at Ruta Maya last Friday, with Ray and Jason on horns, and Tiffany, Caitlyn, and Esther doing the choir parts. From all reports, it rocked hard. See the pretty-ness:
So, as Marshall mentioned previously, the Unbearables have been in the studio the past couple of weeks recording songs for the album to accompany the production. The songs sound amazing, simply amazing, mostly thanks to all the talented people who came out to work on them. Here are some looks in:

The lovely ladies of the Zombie Rock Orchestra’s backing choir rehearsed their parts tonight. They’ll be singing when we go into the studio in, oh, about a week! Then, everybody will be able to hear their angelic greatness when the Zombie Rock Orchestra makes its big debut at the fundraiser on August 18th.
