Hey, so the band played out at Ruta Maya last Friday, with Ray and Jason on horns, and Tiffany, Caitlyn, and Esther doing the choir parts. From all reports, it rocked hard. See the pretty-ness:

Of course, I guess if the police want to harrass Zombies, they’ll harrass zombies. Police are always trying to keep the Zombies down.
So, as Marshall mentioned previously, the Unbearables have been in the studio the past couple of weeks recording songs for the album to accompany the production. The songs sound amazing, simply amazing, mostly thanks to all the talented people who came out to work on them. Here are some looks in:

The second is, of course, the Zombie Walk. This will be taking place on August 3rd, at Trophy’s Bar and Grill on S. Congress, at around 6 pm.
Come! Dress up as a zombie! Attack unsuspecting people!
So, as you may or may not know, we’ve been in the studio each of the past two weeks. And lately, after having added the choir and horns to the basic tracks that we’d laid down last week, I’ve become utterly awed by this project. It’s amazing–I don’t really feel a sense of ownership of this whole thing anymore. It belongs to the countless (we’re up to fifteen or sixteen now, I think) people who’ve worked on it and have laid their indelible stamp on this work that began as ours. I feel grateful, and humbled, and astounded–all at the same time.
So, this Tuesday, we will walk away from the studio with all the basic tracks down. And there will be a party at my house to listen to what we’ve recorded. Maybe next weekend? We’ll see.
