Hello all,

Just thought I’d post that we’re coming up on a really great couple of months in Unbearables - land.

Some items of note:

1) We’ll be playing on July 18th with some really awesome bands at the Mohawk. I strongly recommend you come out to that show… and I’ll be sending another reminder soon.

2) Our show on July 21st is at Club DeVille–there we will be debuting some new material. So for all you who have been waiting for us to play something new, here’s your chance to hear it…

3) In August, we’re making our way out west to play the International Pop Overthrow Festival in Los Angeles. We’ll be booking tour dates here and there, so keep your eyes peeled, westerners.

4) Over Labor Day Weekend, Becky and I will be appearing at DragonCon in Atlanta. We were invited to be panelists on the “Apocalypse Rising” thread’s “Apocalyptic Music” Panel. Sweet! We may also book a show in the Athens / Atlanta area around that time.

5) I just accepted an invitation to play the Midpoint Music Festival in Cincinatti. It looks really sweet… and I’ve never been to Cincinatti. Awesome!

Hey!  If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you’re in Austin, but if you’re not, REJOICE!  Yes, the band is leaving town for a few days, so we might be coming to a city near you!  Probably not, though, since we’re only doing 2 or 3 out of town dates.  We’re playing the International Pop Overthrow festival in Chicago on April, 23rd, and will be stopping in St. Louis, MO on the way up to play on April 21st.  More details as plans are finalized.

If you are in Austin, then we have a great treat for you too… Thursday April 26th we’ll be back in town for what promises to be a great party at Club DeVille.  We have even more instruments and people on stage than ever, so come see what all the fuss is about!

So we aren’t playing the festival, but our friends at Trophy’s asked us to come play tonight, and we couldn’t resist, of course. Details are as follows:

And, there’s another great review for you to check out. This time InSite Magazine here in Austin gave a listen to Just One Bite. The review is in the “Local Trax” part of the Music section.

Finally, a big thank you to everyone who came out last Saturday for Stem and Leaf’s First Birthday. It was a lot of fun, right? Special thanks to everybody who volunteered and helped out with decorating, cutting the cake, working the door, etc. You guys rock!

First off, just to let you all know, the March 2nd show at the Mohawk has been cancelled due to overbooking.

But never fear!  Our big show for Stem and Leaf Records’ first birthday is still on for March 10th, and it’s looking to be a great show, and FREE!

And, reviews of Just One Bite keep coming in.  The Austin Chronicle finally got with the picture, and you can read their short review here.

Stephen at Independent Clauses gave the album a RAVE review, however, putting it number 2 in his best of 2006 list.  Check out the review here.

Finally, Austin Sound gave it a listen and found it “catchy and fun to listen to.”  Read their review here.

Hey guys. So it’s been a while since anyone’s posted anything over here. But, for those of you who are regular visitors, you may have noticed that there’ve been a few changes ’round here. The look has changed, the band has changed, and, well, Bitten is no more. But we’re still the kick-ass songs from the show, and if you want to hear them again (I know how it is with nostalgia), you can! The Unbearables are playing some shows with their new lineup. Here they are, presented in chronological order:

January 19th - Red’s Scoot Inn w/ Gulf of Mexico, 12:00 midnight
February 2nd - Trophy’s w/ Damage Pants, Red Leaves, and Heather Rae and the Moonshine Boys. 12:00 midnight again!
February 9th - The Cavern (in Dallas!), with iKiLLCars.
March 10th - The Victory Grill, for the Stem and Leaf Birthday Party

Awesome!

That’s all I can say. Holy shit. What am I going to do with my life now?

… and we are SOLD OUT!  If you’re trying to get reservations for tonight’s show please come to the theater as early as you can after 7 pm to put your name on the waiting list.  Un-paid reservations are good until 7:50, at which time we’ll start seating people off the waiting list, so get there early!

We’re gonn a rawk it!

Unfortunately due to the illness of an actor we’ve had to cancel our Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (11/2-11/4) shows. We are still planning on having our Sunday show at 5pm. We are also adding a show on November 8th at 8pm, and we have the shows on November 9th through 11th. We apologize for any trouble this may cause anyone. I would highly recommend making reservations for the final weekend now, however, as the tickets will be going even more quickly.
